General Questions

Do you deliver every image you shoot?

No, we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. For example, because we shoot with low apertures, sometimes we take a few extra shots to make sure we have the perfect focus. We don’t expect you to have the expertise or the time to zoom into each image to select the one with the sharpest focus, so we spend hours doing that on our end.

Does your studio provide videography services?

At the moment we do not provide Videography services, but we are working alongside with few Professional Videographers who have earned our trust and who works greatly according to our standards. Upon request we shall provide the client with the information of them.

Have you covered a wedding at the venue of my wedding?

Throughout Sri Lanka we have covered weddings in number of locations. However, if we haven’t been to the location you’re having your wedding we reach the destination earlier and spend some time scouting for the best locations for your photography. Also we check out the location via the internet.

Does your photography company do Family Portraits, newborn shoots, commercial photography or any other type of photography?

Yes, we do and we have a vast experience on such fields of photography as well.

Who will be the photographer?

We have TWO professional photographers working who have mastered the art of photography and working with lights and creating new stories. These two photographers will be attending your wedding as we only book one wedding per day. We do not use back up photographers for our weddings unless request by client for additional 3rd shooter.

Style and Quality Questions

What is your Photography style?

At Photo Factory we are acclaimed for developing a unique style of wedding photography. We love using lighting, unique perspectives, angles, composition and artistic post production refining to bring out client’s personality and beauty while telling their story.

Can we see a full event Photography?

Yes of course, if you require to see a full event we can arrange, so that you can get a clear idea of how we work through out the wedding from first minute to last.

Post Production Questions

Do you touch up all the images in our image download?

Yes, we run through a process of selecting the best images for the client and we retouch them according for color corrections and exposure with some of our signature styles in editing.

Do you shoot in JPEG or RAW?

We shoot in RAW. We believe in providing our clients with the best image quality and have the wide range of ability to work on our images later on post productions.

Wedding Day Questions

How many hours do you require for the before wedding shoot?

We recommend our clients to provide us with minimum of 3 Hours for a shoot in order to capture the best romantic moments and also which helps to plan and be creative and provide them with some WOW images. With more time we are able to manipulate our lighting so it creates a dramatic look to the images.

My venue doesn’t have any photographic locations?

Before the wedding we discuss with our clients regarding the photographic locations. We recommend and advise them for places nearby Its advisable to have locations nearby as its pretty hectic when it gets into traffic.

We are getting dressed in the Salon are you capturing the images?

Upon the request of the client yes we can be at the salon or the place of the bride been dressed to capture the moments.

Albums, Prints and Books Questions

If I’m getting a Guest Book, when do I have do the Pre –Shoot?

We recommend to get the pre shoot done at least 4 weeks earlier. As we have to edit the images and create the guest book for printing and the book will be provided on the day of the wedding.

How long does it take to get my album?

Album creation time may vary depending on the busy schedules, usually we try to provide the client with the first review within a month’s period time and carry on with the re-correction. Once the album is approved by the client the album can be ready within a

week’s period of time.

What kind of Album prints do you offer?

We provide our clients with the two options as Story Book Albums and Magazine Print Albums. On the time of the booking the customer can decide on which print they are going to go through.

Are we charged extra for Magazine Print Albums?

One day Event packages above Rs. 100,000 & Two days Event Packages above Rs. 135,000 will not be charged for Magazine print and the album can be upgraded to the size 12×34 as it is the largest size possible to print. Clients can view samples of albums in our Studios.

Can I order more pages?

Yes of course you can, usually in our design we create more pages therefore the client has the ease of selecting pages therefore they can remove any pages they don’t need or they can continue printing them with an additional cost.

Do you guys provide framing services?

Yes, we do, all the prints are provided with frames.

Can I order more pages?

Do you have a guarantee for the album?

Yes, we provide our clients with a Lifetime Guarantee. Our printers guarantee that the print will last 300 years so we guess that’s pretty much a longtime.

Do you provide all the images after the completion of the Album?

Yes, we do, matter of fact we send the client all the selected images along with the album layout. Once the album is completed we can copy all the images to client’s Pen Drive or any other media.

Equipments Questions

What type of Camera/Equipment do you use?

We use Original Canon products and respectable third party lighting systems highly guaranteed in the photography market.

Image BackUp and Insurance Questions

Do you back our images? How can you guarantee that our images won’t be lost?

Yes, we guarantee, During the shoot we do a back after every card is removed from the camera. Therefore, it leaves one copy in the CF cards and the External. We use reliable Hard disk to back up our images. When we reach back to studios we do a backup of the images and we do a second back up on a secondary location. So we can assure that your image won’t be lost at any cost.

Meeting Policy Questions

How do I make an appointment?

You can simply call our hotlines mentioned in the “contact us” page and make an appointment before visiting us.

Do you travel to meet clients?

No, we don’t travel to client’s locations as we prefer the client coming to us so they could see our albums and other items at ease.

Payments and Bookings Questions

Do we have to settle the full payment?

Yes, before the wedding the full payment of the invoice amount has to be settled.

Do you charge for transportation?

All our packages inclusive of transport within Colombo, Ja-Ela and Kandy Metropolitan areas, other than these locations, clients will be charged depending on the location.

If our wedding is canceled will you refund our deposit?

Unfortunately NO, Booking fee is nonrefundable. we’ve reserved your date, we do not accept new clients for the date. But if the client is planning to change the date and if our dates are free the client has no issue in changing the date with the same deposit.

How do I reserve you for my date?

To secure your wedding date with us you need to pay a booking fee. Once we have confirmed the payment with the client we make the permanent booking on our calendar.
